Graves et al. (1979) described 2 brothers with identical HLA haplotypes and allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis. A barn near the residence of the brothers was identified as the probable source. Vithayasai et al. (1973) also reported familial allergic aspergillosis. However, in 35 unrelated cases no HLA association was found (Flaherty et al., 1978).
