- Decreased circulating immunoglobulin concentration (HP:0004313): An abnormally decreased level of immunoglobulin in blood. Evidence: PCS. Frequency: 1/1. (PMID:23374270)
- Agammaglobulinemia (HP:0004432): A lasting absence of total IgG and total IgA and total IgM in the blood circulation, whereby at most trace quantities can be measured. Evidence: PCS. Frequency: 1/1. (PMID:23561803)
- Infantile onset (HP:0003593): Onset of signs or symptoms of disease between 28 days to one year of life. Evidence: PCS. Frequency: 2/2. (PMID:23374270;PMID:23561803)
- Autosomal recessive inheritance (HP:0000007): A mode of inheritance that is observed for traits related to a gene encoded on one of the autosomes (i.e., the human chromosomes 1-22) in which a trait manifests in individuals with two pathogenic alleles, either homozygotes (two copies of the same mutant allele) or compound heterozygotes (whereby each copy of a gene has a distinct mutant allele). Evidence: PCS. (PMID:23561803)
- Pneumocystis jirovecii pneumonia (HP:0020102): An opportunistic disease caused by invasion of unicellular fungus Pneumocystis jirovecii. Transmission of P. jirovecii cysts takes place through the airborne route, and usually, its presence in lungs is asymptomatic. However, people with impaired immunity, especially those with CD4+ T cell count below 200/microliter, are still at risk of the development of Pneumocystis pneumonia due to P. jirovecii invasion. Symptoms induced by this disease are not specific: progressive dyspnea, non-productive cough, low-grade fever, arterial partial pressure of oxygen below 65 mmHg, and chest radiographs demonstrating bilateral, interstitial shadowing. Evidence: PCS. Frequency: 2/2. (PMID:23374270;PMID:23561803)
- Decreased regulatory T cell proportion (HP:0020113): Abnormal decrease of the regulatory (Treg) CD4+ T cell subpopulation, commonly characterized by the CD127lowCD25hi phenotype, with the optional additional positivity for FoxP3, measured as percentage of total CD4+ T cells in the blood, compared to a reference range for a given sex and age-group. Evidence: PCS. Frequency: 1/1. (PMID:23561803)
- Recurrent respiratory infections (HP:0002205): An increased susceptibility to respiratory infections as manifested by a history of recurrent respiratory infections. Evidence: PCS. Frequency: 1/1. (PMID:23374270)
- Decreased total monocyte count (HP:0012312): Abnormal decrease of absolute number of monocytes in the blood, per microlitre, compared to a reference range for a given sex and age-group. Evidence: PCS. Frequency: 1/1. (PMID:23561803)
- Decreased antigen-specific T cell proliferation (HP:0031402): Impaired proliferation and expansion of a T cell population following activation by an antigenic stimulus. Evidence: PCS. Frequency: 1/1. (PMID:23561803)
- Immunodeficiency (HP:0002721): Failure of the immune system to protect the body adequately from infection, due to the absence or insufficiency of some component process or substance. Evidence: PCS. Frequency: 1/1. (PMID:23561803)
These phenotypes are associated with the disease severe combined immunodeficiency due to CARD11 deficiency (OMIM:615206).
