Phenotypes associated with the disease Ziegler-Huang syndrome (OMIM:620501):
- Micropenis (HP:0000054): Abnormally small penis. At birth, the normal penis is about 3 cm (stretched length from pubic tubercle to tip of penis) with micropenis less than 2.0-2.5 cm. Evidence: PCS. Frequency: 2/2. (PMID:36821639)
- Anterior pituitary hypoplasia (HP:0010627): Underdevelopment of the anterior pituitary gland. Evidence: PCS. Frequency: 1/2. (PMID:36821639)
- Delayed skeletal maturation (HP:0002750): A decreased rate of skeletal maturation. Delayed skeletal maturation can be diagnosed on the basis of an estimation of the bone age from radiographs of specific bones in the human body. Evidence: PCS. Frequency: 2/2. (PMID:36821639)
- Antenatal onset (HP:0030674): Onset prior to birth. Evidence: PCS. Frequency: 2/2. (PMID:36821639)
- Persistence of hemoglobin F (HP:0011904): Hemoglobin F (HbF) contains two globin alpha chains and two globin gamma chains. It is the main form of hemoglobin in the fetus during the last seven months of intrauterine development and in the half year of postnatal life. In adults it normally makes up less than one percent of all hemoglobin. This term refers to an increase in HbF above this limit. In beta thalassemia major, it may represent over 90 percent of all hemoglobin, and in beta thalassemia minor it may make up between 0.5 to 4 percent. Evidence: PCS. Frequency: 2/2. (PMID:36821639)
- Erythroid dysplasia (HP:0031688): Dysplasia in the erythroid lineage, which presents with a variety of morphological changes in the bone marrow, including nuclear budding or irregular nuclear contour in erythroblasts. Evidence: PCS. Frequency: 2/2. (PMID:36821639)
- Chiari type I malformation (HP:0007099): Arnold-Chiari type I malformation refers to a relatively mild degree of herniation of the posteroinferior region of the cerebellum (the cerebellar tonsils) into the cervical canal with little or no displacement of the fourth ventricle. It is characterized by one or both pointed (not rounded) cerebellar tonsils that project 5 mm below the foramen magnum, measured by a line drawn from the basion to the opisthion (McRae Line). Evidence: PCS. Frequency: 1/2. (PMID:36821639)
- Elevated circulating follicle stimulating hormone level (HP:0008232): An elevated concentration of follicle-stimulating hormone in the blood. Evidence: PCS. Frequency: 2/2. (PMID:36821639)
- Autosomal recessive inheritance (HP:0000007): A mode of inheritance that is observed for traits related to a gene encoded on one of the autosomes (i.e., the human chromosomes 1-22) in which a trait manifests in individuals with two pathogenic alleles, either homozygotes (two copies of the same mutant allele) or compound heterozygotes (whereby each copy of a gene has a distinct mutant allele). Evidence: PCS. (PMID:36821639)
- Bone marrow hypocellularity (HP:0005528): A reduced number of hematopoietic cells present in the bone marrow relative to marrow fat. Evidence: PCS. Frequency: 2/2. (PMID:36821639)
- Intrauterine growth retardation (HP:0001511): An abnormal restriction of fetal growth with fetal weight below the tenth percentile for gestational age. Evidence: PCS. Frequency: 2/2. (PMID:36821639)
- Growth delay (HP:0001510): A deficiency or slowing down of growth pre- and postnatally. Evidence: PCS. Frequency: 2/2. (PMID:36821639)
- Hypogonadism (HP:0000135): A decreased functionality of the gonad. Evidence: PCS. Frequency: 2/2. (PMID:36821639)
- Macrocytic anemia (HP:0001972): A type of anemia characterized by increased size of erythrocytes with increased mean corpuscular volume (MCV) and increased mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH). Evidence: PCS. Frequency: 2/2. (PMID:36821639)
- Cryptorchidism (HP:0000028): Testis in inguinal canal. That is, absence of one or both testes from the scrotum owing to failure of the testis or testes to descend through the inguinal canal to the scrotum. Evidence: PCS. Frequency: 1/2. (PMID:36821639)
- Megakaryocytopenia (HP:0005548): A reduced count of megakaryocytes. Evidence: PCS. Frequency: 2/2. (PMID:36821639)
- Decreased total neutrophil count (HP:0001875): Abnormal decrease of absolute number of neutrophils in the blood, per microlitre, compared to a reference range for a given sex and age-group. Evidence: PCS. Frequency: 2/2. (PMID:36821639)
